Pfeifer ist seit 1978 in Kundl ansässig. Pünktlich zum 40. „Geburtstag“ des Standortes investiert das Tiroler Parade-Holzunternehmen knapp 10 Millionen Euro in modernste Sägewerkstechnik, Arbeitsplatzsicherung sowie ein zeitgemäßes Bürogebäude.

Beste Unterhaltung und viel Info bei Pfeifer's Pelletsfest

Mehr als 1000 Besucher strömten bei sommerlichen Temperaturen am 21. April zum Firmenareal des Familienunternehmens Pfeifer Holz in Imst. Gemeinsam mit dem Verein proPellets organisierte Pfeifer ein buntes Fest mit einem abwechslungsreichen Unterhaltungs- und Informationsprogramm für Groß und Klein. Im Mittelpunkt des Geschehens stand der umweltschonende Brennstoff Holzpellets. Insgesamt wurden über vier Tonnen Pellets bzw. Holzbriketts über den Tag verteilt unter den Festgästen verlost.

Oskar Pfeifer receives Timber Construction Award of Honour 2018 from Forum Holzbau

Oskar Pfeifer, the acclaimed entrepreneur and veteran of the Tyrolean timber industry, has recently been awarded a special honour: The international platform Forum Holzbau presented the Timber Construction Award of Honour 2018 to the grand master of the Pfeifer Group for his lifetime work and contribution.

The Pfeifer Group to finally become a full-service supplier to the construction timber sector

The future of building lies in timber construction, in general, but in particular with cross laminated timber. The Pfeifer Group is setting the course for the future at the Schlitz site: Going into operation with an annual capacity of 100,000 m3 of finished CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) at full capacity, the Imst based family business is set to become the fifth largest CLT producer in Europe. The investment amounts to a total of € 25 million.

Pfeifer Group strengthens its Imst location

As the largest employer in the city of Imst, the Pfeifer Group is investing further in its headquarters. A new warehouse of approximately 4,500 m² is to be built in 2018. Expansion of the company head office is also planned with the ground-breaking ceremony set to occur this year.

Von Unterbernbach nach China

Das Familienunternehmen Pfeifer war unlängst auf einer der weltweit größten Konferenzen von Holzhändlern, der China Global Wood Trade Conference in Chengdu (China), vertreten. Verkaufsleiter der Sparte Schnittholz Gregor Triltsch und Verkäufer Hongjun Wu trafen dabei bedeutende Kunden. Die Ergebnisse brachten wichtige Erkenntnisse für den weiteren Marktaufbau und versprechen positive Auswirkungen auf den Betriebsstandort Unterbernbach.

SC Kundl: Partnerschaft mit Pfeifer ist Grundlage für den Erfolg

Den Sportclub Kundl und das Holzindustrie-Unternehmen Pfeifer verbindet eine jahrelange Partnerschaft. Seit 1991 tragen die Fußballer das Logo des Holzspezialisten als Hauptsponsor auf ihrem Trikot – und das mit Erfolg: Die erste Kampfmannschaft spielte immer in der höchsten Liga Tirols und für kurze Zeit sogar in der Regionalliga. Aktuell sind die Kicker wieder ganz oben als Tabellenführer der Tiroler Liga. Beim vergangenen 2:1 Heimsieg gegen WSG Wattens II fieberte Firmenchef Michael Pfeifer persönlich mit.

Pfeifer timber construction products for the new restaurant at the Ötztal Valley Rettenbach glacier

At the Rettenbachferner (2,675 m) in the Ötztal Valley in October 2017 the entirely renovated restaurant will start its activity. During the expensive renovation at the glacier, our formwork beams as well as our shuttering panels were used.

Pfeifer Group has completed the planning phase for the construction of a cross-laminated timber plant at the existing group site in the German town of Lauterbach (Hesse region), and is starting to take action to implement it.

Our plant in Lauterbach is one of the most modern timber processing plants in Europe. Beside sawn timber, our 210 employees produces composite pallet blocks and timber pellets. Furthermore, our green power plant produces 75,000 Megawatt-hours per year to be fed into the public power supply network.

Energy management ISO 50001

Pfeifer Holz GmbH & Co KG, with its sites Imst and Kundl is one of the first companies of the Austrian timber industry certified according to the energy management system ISO 50001. According to this system, already five sites of the Pfeifer Group have been successfully certified and have therefore an internationally recognized proof of their effective energy management.

Meeting of sector experts at the third Pfeifer pellets Forum in Unterbernbach

Recently, over 60 leading pellet dealers from Germany, Austria, South Tirol, Switzerland and Alsace (France) met in Unterbernbach (Bavaria). Om invitation by Pfeifer Holz, experts discussed about the actual development of the sector. The programme consisted in wide market analysis and an exiting presentation of worldwide well-known musician, extreme sportsman entrepreneur Joey Kelly (Kelly Family).

The Dubai WoodShow is since 2006 the central meeting point in Middle East and brings together producers, dealers, suppliers, machine producers and end user along the entire added value chain. As one of the most important hubs in the Arabic region, the yearly fair offered to the Pfeifer Group also in 2017 a perfect platform to exhibit the company and its products. As in the previous editions, the focus was the Pfeifer sawn timber, that has a good reputation in the Arabic region.

The Trend Magazine ha put more than 1,000 Austrian employers with minimum 200 employees on the test stand. The family business Pfeifer from Imst has reached the satisfactory 69th position. This highlights once again the efforts towards an attractive organization of workplaces and Traineeships.

Holz Balk GmbH visits Pfeifer in Tirol

From the 16th to the 17th of February, the company Holz Balk GmbH & Co. KG from lower Bavarian Vilsiburg visiting the Pfeifer Group in Tirol. Beside the sawmill and the pelletisation plant in Kundl, the programme offered also a detailed factory visit of the timber construction and shuttering panel production plants in Imst. CEO Michael Pfeifer presented personally the company to the delegation of long standing and reliable customers. The 23 participants were thrilled both by the big size as well as by the modernity of the production plants. The visit was characterized also by a stop, including guided tour in Innsbruck and a cosy closure at the Imst Berglkeller.

Positive development in Italy

Already at its tenth edition, from the 9th until the 12th of February took place the event Legno & Edilizia in Verona as leading fair of the timber construction sector in Italy. For the Pfeifer Group, also this year it was a fixed appointment, in which it war represented with the entire Italian sales team.

From 2nd to 3rd February, 200 leading heads from the packaging industry met for the 10th Euroblock Forum in Munich. A review of 40 years of compressed pallet blocks and the outlook for the 2017 financial year were extremely positive.

The Pfeifer Holding, one of the leading players of the European timber industry with main seat in Austria, has good growth perspectives also in 2017. The Tyrolean family business plans for next year a turnover growth of about three percent. The focus of sales activities lies strongly on Europe.

Sales meeting in Chanovice

Our annual sale meeting of the entire sales group took place on the 12.01 – 13.01.2017 at our new site of Chanovice (Czech Republic). Beside the informative presentations of some employers, it was a perfect occasion to show to all participants the new and impressive plant. Furthermore, during the evening programme we visited the brewery of Pilzno. Thanks for the interest and the nice days in the Czech Republic!

We continue also this year the tradition to waive material gifts to donate an amount of money. This year we support „kleine Patienten in Not e.V.“ With Benny the comforter Teddy, the association is dedicated to the needs of young accident victims by offering children first aid. The other part was donated to the Paulihof of Unterbernbach.
