An eventful year is drawing to a close. A year that has brought changes of historic magnitude to our industry. Ongoing price increases for wood products, combined with low availability, led to even more demand from buyers. In the end, however, more was ordered than consumed, and this was followed towards the middle of the year by a slump in demand for sawn timber and processed products. Global price developments, such as high lumber prices in the USA, also had an impact on the Central European market.
