As a leading company in the timber industry, we are fully aware of the importance of sustainable and efficient energy use for our long-term success, competitiveness and environmental responsibility.
Our energy policy reflects this awareness and demonstrates our clear commitment to continuously improving energy efficiency and energy performance. We achieve the implementation of our energy policy through the establishment and continuous improvement of an energy management system. Certification according to ISO 50001 at selected locations represents an important part of our energy management strategy. Building on our experiences and successes, we plan to expand the system to additional company sites.
Key elements of the system include:

From new investments to maintenance issues or process optimisations, our internal energy experts are involved early and comprehensively in all energy-relevant projects. Our goal is to leverage synergies and insights across different sites. This systematic and standardised approach ensures a high level of transparency.
Objective #1
We commit to developing and maintaining an energy management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 50001 to systematically monitor and improve our energy performance.
We commit to complying with all relevant laws and regulations, as well as the agreements made within the framework of the energy management system.
We commit to the continuous improvement of our energy performance through targeted enhancement of energy efficiency. To achieve this, we implement suitable and effective technological, organisational or behavioural measures.
We ensure that the personnel, financial, and technical resources necessary for achieving our energy goals are made available. Each site is provided with an annual energy budget and has an appointed energy management officer.
We promote awareness amongst our employees about our energy management system through regular training sessions and encourage them to report potential energy-saving opportunities.
When planning and designing new plants and systems, we ensure that energy efficiency is integrated from the outset in order to sustainably improve energy performance. For existing facilities, we carefully evaluate energy-efficient alternatives as appropriate.
We actively support the procurement of energy-efficient products and services to ensure that they contribute to improved energy performance.
We increasingly focus on the use of renewable energy sources to minimise our ecological footprint and contribute to climate protection.
