Imst, 1948. Forest owners and wood traders are sceptical. They wonder if Barbara Pfeifer will succeed with its newly founded sawmill service. She takes on the challenge despite many things speaking against it. Every successful order increases her business partners’ trust in her, boosts her reputation and lends more weight to her name. Soon, everybody knows: You can trust in Pfeifer.

During the following decades, Barbara – together with her sons Oskar, Fritz and Bernhard – continues laying the foundation stones of the Pfeifer Group. Every decision is heavily based on the customers’ wishes while the company grows to one of the largest in the European timber industry.

Now led by the third generation of the family, Pfeifer faces new challenges. Our world has become fast-paced and more complex. Various circumstances such as the Covid-19 pandemic and climate change make wood a commodity that is in high demand around the world. All of a sudden, this raw material is scarce and prices for lumber are through the roof. In this situation it's good to have a strong partner for whom trust and supply reliability are more than just words.
