We shape the future

For us, future viability means combining economic success with reducing emissions, using energy more efficiently and using resources as efficiently as possible. That is why we are working to reduce emissions in production and the supply chain, increase the share of renewable energy and continuously make our processes more efficient. At the same time, we are continuing to develop materials and products in order to further reduce material use, emissions and energy consumption in our processes.

Our approach through 2030 in clear, measurable targets:

–40 percentage points

Reduce Scope 1 & 2 emissions

+5 percentage points

Increase the share of renewable energy

–20 percentage points

Reduce Scope 3 emissions

+5 percentage points

Increase energy efficiency

+20 percentage points

Increase the share of formaldehyde-free adhesives

Future across generations

Every measure is embedded in our processes and geared to impact – from energy supply and production optimisation to the further development of our materials. As a family-owned company, we think in generations and invest specifically in solutions that make our sites more resilient and our value creation viable for the long term.

We make sustainability real

For us, circular economy means using a valuable raw material as efficiently and meaningfully as possible. That is why we work to reduce material losses, increase yield, use by-products intelligently and further develop packaging and product solutions. For us, sustainability is visible where less resource use creates more value – economically sensible, industrially feasible and with a view to the entire use chain.

Our approach through 2030 in clear, measurable targets:

–5 percentage points

Reduce material use

+50 percentage points

Share of recyclable or reusable packaging solutions

+30 percentage points

Increase the share of waste wood across all products

Improve yield

through quality management and optimisation

Wood in the cycle

Our circular logic extends from raw material use and processing to the further use of by-products. We develop solutions that keep material in the cycle, improve packaging and rethink the use of wood as a raw material. This creates an approach that combines industrial efficiency with responsible resource use.

We create trust through transparency

For us, sustainability is not only about environmental and climate topics, but also about a corporate culture that strengthens safety, development and reliability. That is why we invest in occupational safety, qualification and clear management systems that anchor responsibility in everyday work. As a family business, we want to create a working environment that develops people, builds trust and supports sustainable development within the company for the long term.

Our approach through 2030 in clear, measurable targets:

Vision Zero

Improve occupational safety

+10 % training hours

Expand employee development

3 additional systems

Expand management systems

–8 percentage points

Reduce employee turnover

Reliability through clear standards

For us, responsibility shows in clear standards, good collaboration, and the continuous development of our organization. That’s why we build competencies, strengthen our safety culture, and further develop systems that provide guidance – for employees, managers, customers, and partners. In this way, we combine performance with reliability and create a foundation for long-term business success.

Successful projects and current developments

For us, sustainability means…

…translating responsibility into concrete impact. As the Pfeifer Group, we don’t just want to talk about the future of the timber industry – we want to actively help shape it: through efficient use of resources, more climate-friendly value creation, transparent facts, and solutions that work in industrial practice. As a family business in particular, we think in generations. That’s why we make sustainability tangible – for our employees, our customers, and our partners – step by step, with wood as a strong raw material, and with the commitment to act today so that more is possible tomorrow.
