Construction solid timber KVH® is a material that is specifically developed for the modern timber construction high standards with exactly defined product characteristics.
Since 2016, the Pfeifer Group produces this precision material at the Chanovice (CZ) site according to the criteria of the surveillance organization KVH®.
Pfeifer KVH® is a technically dried, sorted according to strength and finger-jointed solid wood from European spruce. Thanks to its cut separated from core, the development of shrinkage cracks is reduced. The technical drying at 15% ± 3%, close to the expected balanced moisture content in mounted conditions makes it extremely dimensionally stable. KVH® can be employed in compliance with the rules of the construction wood protection without the use of precautionary chemical wood protecting agents.
KVH® is a protected product trademark. Beside general requirements of the building supervisory authority and the DIN 4074 standard, special criteria have to be met. The wide business internal quality controls and the additional external quality monitoring are performed according to agreements about construction solid wood KVH®.
